PHOTOGRAPHY

After leaving teaching I took that passion for capturing action and candid photos and started Action Shots KC. My mission was to capture players/teams in action so that parents could sit back and enjoy the game. I wanted to provide something different for their keepsake box other than the same posed team and individual photo we all purchased because that was our only choice. Through Action Shots KC I grew as a photographer and expanded my business to encompass action AND portrait photography. Whether it is action on a soccer field or a family portrait they are all moments in our life story that if captured correctly give us the opportunity to relive that moment time and time again. The told and untold stories a photograph holds are priceless and I look forward to the opportunity to capture these stories for you.

HI! I am a wife, a mother of three boys, a former teacher, and someone who loves to document life's moments with a camera. After the birth of my oldest son in 2001 I started picking up a camera and documenting all the moments I could of his childhood. Let me be honest, I captured a lot of moments. Like maybe too many. But I wanted to be able to remember it all. Over the years I have loved capturing candid and action photos of my boys. Truth is they never sat still for a posed photo. They were always on the move and undoubtedly one of the three wouldn't cooperate! So, I learned quickly that I could bribe my boys for a couple minutes to get that posed photo and then I needed to just let them do their own thing. And honestly that is when I got some of my favorite photos. My life is truly like living with the three stooges! Once my boys were old enough to start playing sports I started taking my camera to every game. I eventually became the "team photographer." I loved capturing the action of all the players so their parents had those memories as well. Sometimes I would capture a big play and my boys could retell you the exact time in the game it happened and the exact outcome by looking at the picture. Sometimes I would capture a shot of a deep conversation in the dugout and still to this day would give anything to know what those 5 year old boys were talking about.
